Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun! It lasted all weekend, really. On Halloween day, I dressed up as a poodle skirt for church. My friend Melody was a poodle last year and I couldn't resist wearing the outfit.














After church, I took a nap. Mommy and Daddy worked on the pumpkin while I was sleeping. Daddy cleaned it out while Mommy designed and carved a spider. Itsy Bitsy is my favorite!












After naptime, I woke up kind of cranky.













So, Mommy and Daddy took me for a walk. I love going to the playground. I have really been a Mommy's girl lately, so there are not many pictures of me with Daddy. In one of the pictures, though, you can see me reaching for Daddy's hand, too.

When we got back to the house, Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop were there! What a surprise! We had dinner and then Mommy, Daddy, and I went out trick or treating. By halfway through, I was walking up to doors on my own and saying "Thank you" and "Bye." Everybody said I was too cute.

The Saturday before Halloween, we spent most of the day with the Littletons. Mommy, Daddy, and I marched in their neighborhood parade. Daddy said we played "Pass the baby." The best part of the parade was the end. There was a playground with lots of slides!!! There were also lots of games that kids were playing. The best part of the game area was the free popcorn. I had three cups!!

After playing, we went back to Dr. Roy and Ms. Marian's house. At some point, I will have pictures of Walker, Anna, and me, in their wagon. Mommy took the pictures with Dr. Roy's camera. We ate a very yummy dinner with the Littletons and Ms. Zaneta, Anna and Walker's new au pair. After dinner, Dr. Roy and Ms. Marian loaned Mommy and Daddy costumes for a Halloween Party at the Greilings' house. I had my skeleton pajamas.

The Halloween weekend began with my school Halloween parade. Most of the mommies and daddies came to help and participate. One daddy even came in costume. I learned really quickly to put my hand out for candy. (Mommy promises to tell me what candy is by the time I am 5.) In the pictures, you can see me with Audrey, a pumpkin, who looks a lot like me. Our teachers had trouble telling us apart before I grew curls. There is also a picture with Maddie, the other witch in my class.

As we finished up in the parade, we saw the older classes trick or treating. It is amazing the muscles the boys grow by the time they are 4!










Unfortunately, my classmates and I are not used to our parents coming in the middle of the day and leaving us there. There was a lot of crying going on when Mommy and Daddy left. I cried.














It has rained a fair amount this fall. Luckily, I have a cute rain jacket. Here I am charging off to school.

Happy Fall!

I went to the Doctor for my 18 month check up a little over a week ago. I am still a runt. I am in roughly the 25th percentile for both height and weight. I am in the 80th percentile for head size though. I have a big brain :) The doctor said everything looked good and I am doing well. The visit wasn't bad until they gave me two shots...

As for a language development update, I continue to learn new words. I know the color purple, too. I learned purple because one of the neighbors has purple and orange Halloween lights that I just love. Plus, I actually said "Bunny" for the first time this weekend. Mommy and Daddy were shocked it took me so long since "Bunny" is my favorite thing in the whole world, well, next to Mommy and Daddy.

Since my last blog update, I received my school picture, visited with lots of friends, and attended more festivals! Most recently, I went to Chantal's Going Away Party at Fishbones with the Littletons and Grandma and Pop Pop and Mommy and Daddy and Mr. Judd and Ms. Tara. There was no fish in the macaroni and cheese, but I enjoyed it. Chantal is moving back to Germany soon. We wish her the very best of luck in her future!

Mr. Judd and Ms. Tara came up to visit me. We went to Cox Farms. I had so much fun on the slides. I admit that it was more fun when I got to ride with Mommy or Daddy on the slides than when I went by myself.

It was great seeing Mr. Judd and Ms. Tara. I had not seen them since I was 2 months old.

I went to my first birthday party of one of my classmates! It was Drew's second birthday! She had a princess party at My Gym. Mommy said I had to take a nap, so I got there a little late. I still had fun though. In these pictures, I am staring at all the bubbles and playing with the balls with Nicholas and Maddie. Nicholas is my buddy. He is only a month younger than me.

Mommy and Daddy were two of three parents that attended the daycare open house. I feel loved and cared about :) Mommy just loves watching me interact with the other kids and seeing us all do things together. I got to show them how I sing and dance and color. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, and I went to the Clifton Days festival. Clifton is a small town that you would never know is part of Fairfax county. I enjoyed the festival because I got a balloon, new hair bows, and a monkey hat. Daddy wouldn't let me keep the monkey hat on though, because it was warm out.

Here I am before going to Renn Fest. A healthy yogurt lunch gave me the energy I needed to walk around the festival all afternoon. (And, I mean walk. Strollers are for babies.)
