Nana & Grandpa John Visit

Nana and Grandpa John came to visit the weekend of January 22. We had a lot of fun.









Nana, Mommy, and I went to the Little Gym on Saturday morning. I had not been able to go the past two weeks because of snow and ice closing the gym. It is so much fun there though. I love tumbling! I would post pictures from the gym, but they are on Nana's camera in Charlotte.

On Saturday, after my nap, Mommy and I dropped Nana, Grandpa John, and Daddy off at Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum while we went shopping and playing at Dulles Town Center. That mall has a train, a carousel, and a play area! After playing, Mommy and I rushed back to Udvar Hazy to watch an imax movie. I sat and enjoyed the whole 40 minute moving on the Boeing 787. The museum closed shortly after the movie, but I still was able to see the really big plane!









On Sunday, we went to the Newseum. This was a very neat museum. A helicopter hung in the lobby. I really enjoyed the 4D movie. It had bubbles with pictures in them that I kept trying to touch.

Growth

Daddy forgot to download the pictures and videos off his phone, so I forgot to put some items in my last updates. I started my Little Gym mini session on January 4. Here I am working on hand-eye coordination.


On January 8, I went on my first trip to the dentist. I didn't really want to open my mouth, but it went alright. Dr. Pleta counted my teeth and said I will definitely need braces. Mommy and Daddy had already told me that though.













Watch this video from January 11 to see me drink chocolate from a cup and to hear me go through the ABCs. (I also sang the alphabet song on my own recently, but Mommy and Daddy were too slow to catch me on camera.)

Grandpa Joe and Grandma Liz Visit!

Grandpa Joe and Grandma Liz came up to visit me last weekend. Although it had been a rough week and I was sick, we had a great time. We went to the Doctor, we played on the slide, we played with the tunnel and the blocks...













One night, Grandma Lyn and Pop joined us too. Mommy and Daddy made a real dinner - all from scratch.













The next night, we went out to Ruth's Chris. They have great fries! Sorry for the grainy picture...

Happy New Year

I have started 2011 off having a lot of fun. I had a play date with my buddy James. I used the occasion to show that I know the word "mine" to everyone involved.









I spend several nights a week taking care of Chloe, the doll Uncle Eric gave me for Christmas.


I enjoy reading and looking at picture books of me.



I also like playing in Mommy's new Kangoo Jumps. Mommy can't wear them right now because she hurt her foot.













I love that I am able to play in the plate and straw drawer. It gives me a chance to express my artistic abilities.

2010 Closeout

This video shows me in my last piece of Christmas, opening my presents from Ms. Pam, Dr. Paul, Stephanie, Sam, Caitlyn, and Cameron. I can't wait to try the popsicles!


I was able to celebrate New Year's Eve with Grandma and Pop Pop. After I went to bed, Mommy and Daddy went to celebrate with Ms. Anita, Mr. Jason, and Bella.

The End of Christmas Vacation

On our last morning, I read some books and played on the iPhone while Mommy and Daddy packed our bags.













It finally started to warm, so I spent more time at Uncle Andy's playground.













We even took some family pictures around and on the playground.









Then, we went to a Cuban restaurant for lunch. I really liked the croquetas and the chicken strips and fries. After lunch, we went to a big, crazy crowded mall. Daddy paid for Ethan and Hannah to go in the hurricane simulator. Cousin Hannah looked more like Cousin It.













By this point, I was exhausted. Mommy couldn't keep me awake in the car. She picked me up and I continued my nap on Uncle Andy's bed until she woke me up and we headed to the airport. I did great on all of my airplane rides. Fortunately, our trip home was only delayed by 10 minutes. We saw a lot of people stuck at the airport.

What a long, crazy, fun week it was. I'm ready for a vacation!

The Miami Seaquarium

The second coldest day of the year for Miami was on December 27 and you know what my family did? They went swimming! Dolphins are cute, but they are crazy.

We started the day by watching a sea lion show and taking pictures with one of the sea lions.













After lunch, it was time for the others to don their fancy wet suits and jump in the water. They spent the first half of their time with a male dolphin named Zoe (pronounced Zoh - rhyming with toe).









To do a big group picture, they needed a bigger dolphin who wasn't scared to come close to the whole group. This male dolphin, Boa, is almost 400lbs. They look liked they had fun in the 66* water.









I stayed with my dolphin in the sun.

I didn't really care at that point though since it was nearly 4PM and I had not had a nap. I passed out in the car on the way home...
