I forgot to add this photo. The colors are great! This picture was taken on Friday. Mommy and Daddy left me to go parasailing on Friday, but came back because of thunderstorms. They tried again on Saturday, but the boat was broken. Of coure, they found this out after being put up in the air and then reeled back in. (They tried going last year, but were rained out, too.) Maybe next year...

Beach Week

Well, I had a great week at the beach. I am very sad that it is ending as I got to spend soooo much time with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Lyn, Pop Pop, Ms. Tami, Thomas, Uncle Eric, and my cousins, Hannah and Ethan. Starting tomorrow, I will spend my days in day care. Mommy went to Buy Buy Baby to buy extra bottles for me to take. I know I will have fun!! Anyway, back to last week. For the most part, I am just going to share pictures. Mommy and Daddy forgot to take the picture when we went to play Putt-Putt. Grandma Lyn has pictures of that somewhere.

Mommy and Daddy are crazy. They like to make me do crazy things for cute pictures. Don't they know I am cute as is? Anyway, Mommy decided that we needed "naked baby" pictures on the beach. Here are some of her favorites.









































Wednesday night, Uncle Eric, Hannah, and Ethan got in to town just as I was going to bed. Grandma Lyn and Ms. Tami watched me while Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner. They enjoyed their time alone, but were back quickly. I think it was because they missed me. Since I didn't want to go right to bed, I got to see a pretty rainbow.

On Thursday, Daddy, Tami, Pop Pop, Uncle Eric, Ethan, and Thomas went fishing. Grandma purchased the trip for Pop Pop for his 60th bday! Here are a couple of pictures even though I wasn't there. The boys said the dramamine made them tired....Mommy, Grandma Lyn, Hannah, and I played games, went out to lunch, and went shopping while the others were fishing. I even made a stuffed duck, which I named Ducky. It has an OBX t-shirt.










I went down to the beach to play. Uncle Eric, Hannah, Ethan, Ms. Tami, Thomas, Mommy, and Daddy also went down to play and relax. I wore my "beach babe" attire.

We finally got home. Mommy and Daddy let me play for 15 minutes while they unloaded the car. And then, I had to get back in the car. I was not happy. I did cheer up a little later, after we go to Mr. Mark's 30th bday party. (Mark is my buddy James' dad.) I'm still bigger than James as you can see in the picture with Mommy, James, and James' mommy. I also got to meet more of Mommy and Daddy's Pep Band friends. Here is a picture of me with Mr. Eric and Mrs. Kathy.









I think I'm ready. Tomorrow, day care here I come!

Catch up time...

Let's see. Where did I leave off. The week after July 4, my Nana came back up to visit me. She had just been to Banff, Canada. She brought me these very pretty and warm booties for next winter and a flower finger puppet. It was a busy week. On Thursday, I went to my second funeral. My great-great aunt passed away. After the funeral, I went and visited Great Grandpa George and Great Grandma Florence again. I spent an entire afternoon sitting in my bumbo looking at the river. The hardest part of the entire trip was that Mommy didn't come with me. She had to work. I missed her terribly. We had lots of Mommy and me time on Saturday and Sunday though.

On July 13, Nana's cousins, Marvin and Jeanie, came to visit and take care of me. Jeanie used to be a pediatric nurse and she spent 25 years doing the night shift. So, Jeanie and Marvin let Mommy and Daddy get a little more sleep as they got up with me at night. I had fun playing with Marvin and Jeanie. We went for lots of walks. On Wednesday, Grandma Liz and Grandpa Joe came to visit me. (Actually, I had seen them the previous Friday at Great Grandpa George's house.) So, during the day for the remainder of the week, I had 4 adults to watch me! Well, I am told that Grandpa Joe is a kid like me :)

Grandma Liz and Grandpa Joe left on Friday. Then, the rest of us left on Saturday. Jeanie and Marvin headed home (by means of visiting other family in Woodbridge). Mommy, Daddy, and I headed south. We went to Charlottesville for my buddy Brooke's first birthday party. The weather was perfect and were out in the back yard. I got Brooke some new PJ's and Leap Frog Letters.

From Brooke's house, I went to UVA. Like my first visit to Duke, I slept right through it. I did get a UVA shirt, socks, and chearleader costume though. Expect to see me in my new clothes come football season!

After sitting in a lot of traffic, we made it to Ms. Peggy and Mr. Jimmy's house in Chesapeake, VA. They were nice enough to wait for dinner for Mommy and Daddy. On the way, I went for a walk with Mommy on I-64 as everybody had to stop while the fire truck put out a car fire. I had a lot of fun at Ms. Peggy and Mr. Jimmy's house. They have a huge dog named Copper. He smelled me and all my stuff. On Sunday morning, we had fun playing and watching golf.

Sunday afternoon, we finally had good car karma as we did not get stuck in traffic on the way to Duck, my final destination for the week. This is my first trip to Grandma Lyn's beach house. (I brought 3 bathing suits so that I am prepared!) I went for a walk and saw the ocean for the very first time! I even put my feet in the sand! Later in the day, I played P-I-G with Mommy, Daddy, Ms. Tami, and Thomas. That was my first basketball experience! It was bath night and Mommy brought my ducky tub that Uncle Andy bought for me. I love bath time!. What a day!!!

This morning, I put on my bathing suit. Am I cutie or what?!? You can't really see me in this picture because Grandma thought I needed more covering to stay warm and put her bathing suit cover up over me while I napped by the pool. Before my nap, I got to dip my toes in the hot tub for the first time. Mommy said the pool was kind of chilly. I will put my feet in the ocean later this week.

July 4th!

Happy 4th of July! Well, today is the 6th, but...I was busy on the 4th so I am posting today. I had a good week. Grandma Lyn watched me during the day Monday through Thursday. On Tuesday, Mommy turned in my forms for daycare. I am all set to start on July 27.

Ms. Amy and Dr. Joel came to visit me. They got in really late (early?) on Thursday (Friday). I was asleep. Daddy was so excited that they were coming that he changed my clothes on Thursday (before my bath and bedtime) to an outfit they would appreciate. Since I only wore it for a couple of hours on Thursday, I wore the same outfit on Friday.

On July 4, we went to the parade in Fairfax. Ms. Marian saved us a great spot near her office. I saw many bands and dancers and floats. I had a lot of fun. Afterwards, I got to see Ms. Marian's office before going out for lunch. Then, I went home and relaxed for a little bit.











Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop came over for dinner with Mommy, Daddy, Ms. Amy, and Dr. Joel. After dinner, we went onto Fort Belvoir to watch the fireworks. It was about my bedtime when we got there. I fell asleep waiting for the show to start. I woke up with the first firework and then watched the show. It was great!

I slept in yesterday, making my parents very happy. Nana came back to visit me yesterday. She is taking care of me this week.

I had a good week with Nana. She had to leave on Saturday though. Her step grandson is graduating from a high school in Bamf (Canada, eh). I have posted a picture of me playing with Nana just before she left. She will be back in another week to play with me again.

From the video below, you can see that I love playing at my jungle gym with all my toys hanging from it. Well, all the toys I had. We went to Ms. Suzanne's house where I met Emory, Luke, and Melody. Ms. Suzanne gave me most of my clothes and a lot my toys and activity areas! She is so sweet! We were so busy though that I didn't get a picture with her. Next time!

Saturday night, I went a retirement party for a family friend. I had a good time, but Mommy and Daddy have not quite learned to take me away from the action soon enough. It is so exhausing being passed from person to person. I did finally relax though.

Today, I have been taking it easy with Mommy and Daddy. I started by sleeping in to 9:30 this morning. After breakfast, we went for a good walk. In the afternoon, I took a long nap. Mommy had a lot of fun looking at my new clothes while I slept. Then, Mommy took a nap while I played with Daddy.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! It's my Daddy's 1st Father's Day. I got him a couple of gifts: honey roasted cashews, a framed picture of him and me, and nerdy baby flash cards (A is for Atom). We went to church and instead of a dress, I wore my shirt that says I will always be Daddy's little girl and my Daddy's princess socks.

It has been a very busy weekend. Brielyn, my BFF, and her brother Ryan came down to visit me (with Mr. Ian and Dr. Wendy). Brielyn is one month older than I am and Ryan is 3. We did a lot of playing and went for several walks.

Now, I am ready to rest!
