October was a lot of fun. In fact, I still want to go trick or treating. And while I already miss the Halloween lights, Mommy tells me more lights will be up soon.

It had been a while, so Mommy took more purple chair photos. I have really grown, right? Magical!

We went to the Burke Pumpkin Festival. While I had fun, let me tell you all to skip it. Just go to Cox Farms. We will go back there next year.

Mommy still has not picked a new car. She said she had to check out the new new beetle.

Mommy and I like to make pizza. Mommy made the pizza sauce herself and it was yummy (and chock full of veggies I otherwise refuse to eat).

Daddy helped me paint pumpkins on Columbus Day. It was a lot of fun.

At Pop Pop's work picnic a few weeks ago, I made a mask. I took every opportunity to wear it this October.

Mommy bought me a UVA chearleading dress. The day I wore it UVA won, Mommy took more purple chair pictures, and I attended the Fire House Open House. It was my half birthday. I am now 2.5. Per my pediatrician, I am now in the 21st percentile for height.

Daddy took me to my friend Sean's birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Gymboree is not the Little Gym though...

Grandma Lyn, Pop Pop, Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Disney on Ice. It was everyone's first time going. Thanks to Grandma, we had great seats. We saw Rapunzel, Cinderella, Tiana, and Minnie Mouse -- to name a few.

It snowed! I know I haven't been around that long, but even I know it is not supposed to snow in October!

Since it was snowing, Ms. Marian's neighborhood Halloween parade was cancelled. So, with a lot of other people, we went to Air & Scare at Udvar Hazy. I think it would have been great with less people and more candy stations. Afterwards, we all had dinner at Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop's house. Mommy made a cake.

I won't say we waited to the last minute to get a pumpkin, because we saw lots of other people at the pumpkin patch when we bought our pumpkin on October 30. Mommy carved the pumpkin after I went to bed.

Pop Pop and Mommy came to walk in my school parade. I got candy! It was a chilly day, so I wore my sweater over my dress. My class was full of characters. (Isn't it always?)

Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop came over to celebrate Halloween with Mommy and I. Pop Pop, Mommy, and I went Trick or Treating. I was really scared, but I did not want to go back home. I like when people give me candy. Of course, after coming home and going through my loot, I asked for pretzels!

Run for Bears

Mommy and Daddy are going to run another 5K. This one is my kind of 5K. At the end, they get to have chocolate. Anyway, I am telling you this because Mommy, in the process, is also raising extra money for one of the two charities benefitting from the race - Umps Care. Umps Care will use the money to have Major League Baseball umpires go into children's hospitals and work with the sick kids to build bears. I really like Build-A-Bear and I know that those kids will too. If you want to find out more or make a donation, go to Run for Bears. Mommy also said I should write something about it helping you to owe less or receive more on my birthday. I don't know what that means though.

2nd Half of September

There I go getting behind in my blogging again. What can I say? I am a busy little girl. Let's finish up September. I have a lot of pictures in October to add later.

Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop watched me so that Mommy and Daddy could go out for their 7th wedding anniversary. Seven years is a long time! I love when Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop watch me. I get to catch up on my iPad games and whatever random TV Pop Pop is watching.

Mommy went to Austin for work. She went and kayaked under a bridge to see bats. How weird!I don't have any pictures of that though. I think they are still on the camera. While Mommy was gone, I had my school picture. Ms. Tameka did my hair so it would look pretty. I will post it online when I find what Mommy and Daddy did with the digital version.

The next weekend, we went to Durham for Hannah's birthday. We got to Durham in time to go out to dinner with Uncle Eric, Hannah, Ethan, Abbe, and Mr. Robert. Abbe is Hannah and Ethan's cousin on their mom's side. We had a great time playing around the sculpture while waiting for our dinner table to be ready.

That Saturday was the day of Hannah's party. She had a scavenger hunt around the mall followed by sweets at the Melting Pot. After all that, I was tired.

After the party, Pop Pop, Hannah, Mommy, and I went to the grocery store so that we had food for my dinner. This is Hannah's last time in a grocery cart as a pre-teen. I had fun driving her around :)

I know that I probably had time during the week to update the blog, but sometimes you just have to chill.

The first weekend in October is always the Fort Belvoir Oktoberfest. We went for dinner and entertainment on September 30. It was all great except that I couldn't get close to the oompah band like last year because they were having some private event in the front half of the tent. Next year I will be tall enough for more rides!
