Summer Vacation

Well, I know I have not updated the blog in a while, but I have been busy. And, I have a lot of pictures. I haven't even seen them all yet. The next several blogs will show pictures from my time on and off the Mickey Mouse boat in July. We went to a wedding before leaving for Spain, but I don't have any of those pictures. So, this blog will include the time up until we left the hotel in Barcelona to head for the cruise.

Before going to the airport, we had to drop some things off at Ms. Jenner's house. I really liked her playgrounds. We went from there to Liberty State Park, which had even more playgrounds.

Then, we (Nana, Grandpa John, Daddy, Mommy, and I) went to the airport. This was my second big flight. I went to France and Belgium when I was 6 months old. This plane was much better though. It had a screen that I could touch. I was able to watch Little Mermaid cartoons.

We had a layover in Germany. As you can tell from the picture, everybody was ready for a nap.

When we finally arrived in Barcelona, I was really tired. We met up with Grandma Lyn, Aunt Ina, and Ms. Jenner and went out for dinner, but I went home early with Daddy to go to bed. The next day, we went out exploring. I really liked La Sagrada Familia, Mommy's favorite cathedral.

Later, I found some nice chocolate milk at dinner. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel. We had to get our beauty sleep in preparation for meeting up with Mickey!

July 4!!!

On July 4, we got up, ate breakfast, and got dressed quickly. We were headed to a parade. Before we headed out though, we took some pictures and played with the toys with wheels. Ryan was very sad that he is too big for my car. He was able to drive my tricycle all by himself though.

We went to the Lorton parade and fair. It was cute, but next year, we will go back to Fairfax. I didn't like the sound of the motorcycles when they were right in front of us.

After the parade and nap time, we went to the pool for a little while. It was only a little while because of the lifeguard's break.

After the pool, I took a bath with Ryan and Brielyn while Daddy worked on dinner, a 4th of July barbeque. I ate a hot dog. After dinner, we played - in pajamas - until we went to Fort Belvoir to watch the fireworks.

The fireworks were very pretty, but a little scary. It was a late night.

July 2 and 3

On July 2nd, we went to Charlottesville to celebrate Brooke's 3rd birthday. Her party was at a sprayground and playground. The party was Minnie Mouse themed! Ms. Kristen made an excellent strawberry cake. I even ate it. We found Ms. Anita grabbing up baby Katelyn at the party too :)

That night, Mr. Ian, Dr. Wendy, Ryan, and Brielyn came to visit. The next morning it was play time! First, we played at home.

Then, we played at Pirate's Cove, a great water park near my house. We played until nap time.

After nap time, I took a bath and decided it was time to put on a dress. I picked out my Jasmine outfit. Very cute and good for play time part 3.

Playtime part 4 came after dinner. We played with bubbles. Mommy made us strawberry kiwi Fruitable popsicles. I have to say my first popsicle was quite yummy. Daddy helped me finish it though.
