2nd Half of June

On June 18, we went to the zoo. I saw all kinds of animal, including what Mommy and Daddy call the elusive cassowary. They went all the way to Australia and didn't see one and there it is in DC.

On June 19, I helped Anna celebrate her birthday. We had a great time at her pool.

June 21 brought the end of my Little Gym semester. We ended with a "show" and I got another ribbon! All the pictures of the class are on Mommy's phone.

June 21 was also picture day at school. This brought a great chance for a new purple chair picture! The school picture is only okay. It would have been nice had they told Mommy there would be a beach background and not a normal plain background.

Here we are at the sprayground. They resurfaced the ground, so I didn't slip as much.

Mommy loves to see what my hair looks like at the end of the school day. The afternoon teachers love to do my hair.

The Giant just became much more fun to shop at. Now, I get to do the shopping!

June 5th Fun

I had not had a purple chair picture in a while, so Mommy made sure I got one.

Memorial Day Weekend

Mommy and I started the weekend out at Mount Vernon. We wanted to see the newly redone upper gardens. Mount Vernon found out that as pretty as it was, it wasn't authentic before.


Ms. Marian, Anna, Walker, Pop Pop, Mommy, and I checked out the new sprayground at Lee District Rec park. It was very cool, but very slippery. I fell down a lot. Luckily, they have since come back to put down some non-slip flooring. I can't wait to go back. When we left the sprayground, so did Pop Pop. The rest of us went and took the water taxis from Old Town Alexandria to National Harbor. We ate dinner at Ketchup (yeah mac & cheese!), played in the sand, and watched a band before going home for the night. It was a late night!

On the Sunday of Memorial day weekend, Grandma Lyn, Pop Pop, Mommy, and I went up to visit Mr. Ron and Ms. Karen in Annapolis. They have a wonderful house that is very near a beach. I had a fabulous time!

On Memorial Day, we went to Ms. Marian's neighborhood for the block party/picnic. Here are some cute pictures of me.

Burke Lake Park & Workhouse

Mommy took me to Burke Lake Park. We went on the carousel, the train, and then we went to the GMU SOM MBA picnic. I saw a couple other people from my daycare at the park too. It was fun.


Grandma, Mommy, and I went to the Workhouse to walk around and look at art. We also were able to see some hula and Indian dance performances. When we went to visit the lady that Daddy commissioned to recreate a picture of me in pastels, we saw that she was awarded Mad Artist of the Year. She had flyers with my picture on it. These pictures are in the courtyard area of the Workhouse.

Mommy took lots of random photos of me on her phone to send to Daddy while he was away. Here are some of the photos we sent.

Mid May

On Friday, May 13, I watched Little Mermaid for the first time. There were lots of fish! On Saturday, May 14, I went shopping at our neighborhood yard sale, I went to the Little Gym's birthday party, and I went to Grandma Lyn's for a dinner party. My little Australian buddy, Toby, and I played at Grandma's. Did you know babies coo with an Australian accent?

On Sunday, May 15, Mommy and I went to meet Grayson and witness his naming ceremony. He is very cute. I tested out the crib at his paternal grandparents' house. It works well :) While I napped, Mommy took pictures. Here are some of my favorites.

Beach!

Since Mommy was home anyway, we left for the beach early. Mommy was looking forward to the hot tub. Grandma Lyn, Mommy, and I went down in one car. Ms. Marian, Johanna (the new au pair), Anna, and Walker, went down in another car. We spent time at the pool, in the hot tub, and on the beach!
