Christmas #2

Christmas #2 was the morning of December 23. I woke up and got to open my presents from Grandma Liz and Grandpa Joe. Mommy says I am OCD just because I felt the need to get off every piece of paper and tape before opening the box. Make sure to look at these photos in order...I received lots of neat (and educational) placemats! I can even color and draw on them!










If you didn't know, I really like hats. I found both of Grandma Liz's Santa hats to wear.













Here is a photo of Grandpa Joe looking at the calendar I gave him for Christmas.













Later in the morning, we went out to see Grandpa Joe and Grandma Liz's "farm." It is a large piece of land with a solar powered shed and privy. The privy was cold, so I kept my diaper on.









I think Santa may have gone through earlier. Do you see what I see?!









After my nap, I helped myself to some snacks. I figured out where the pretzels and chips were hiding. Mommy walked by to find me sitting in the pantry with the chip clip in one hand and the bag of chips in the other.













I enjoyed playing at Grandpa Joe and Grandma Liz's house. Grandma Liz had a big blue ball for me to bounce on.













Plus, she had this little room that was just the right size for me. It had a little door and a light switch I could reach. I think Mommy may have liked the room, too.













I had not been to Grandma Liz and Grandpa Joe's house since I was about 6 weeks old. I have really grown a lot since then. Just look at these pictures of me with Aunt Michelle and Uncle Owen.





















Nana and Grandpa John came over for dinner (and to drive me to their house for Christmas #3, 4, and 5). I am generally happy. At dinner time though, people try to feed me food I don't want to eat.

Over the hills...

On December 22, we flew to Charlotte. I loved seeing all the airplanes and riding the buses to the airplane. Bus and airplane are two of my favorite words.









Our plane ride went from 1 hour to 3 because of fog in Charlotte, but we finally made it! After lunch and a nap, I played with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Liz. Grandpa Joe has a big tractor that I was not very sure of at first.











Great Grandma Vera, Great Grandpa Ted, and most of my other family through Grandma Liz came over for dinner and play time. This picture is of Grandma Liz, Grandpa Joe, and Great Grandma Vera, looking at the book I gave them - Volume 2 Part 1.

Twas the weekend before...

On December 18, I went and tried out the Little Gym. I am going to go back for a mini session in January. It is a fun place to explore. Mommy and Daddy said they will take and post pictures in January.

That afternoon, I tried to go to the gem and jewelry show that I have been to several times before. They were not very nice though and would not admit me because I am not yet 8. That part is okay, but then they told me the policy has been in place for 2 years. Somehow, I think not...

To me a happy ending though, because I got to go spend time at Grandma Lyn's house. Pop Pop thought I needed a ride on toy for when I am at his house. He bought me a Radio Flyer Inch Worm. It is fun and cute, but I wouldn't recommend it to others, because it doesn't turn very well.


December 19 was a long, busy day. We started by going to Church. I had a nap in the afternoon, but it wasn't very restful, because I couldn't stop coughing. It turned out I had an ear infection. Mommy came in and I rested/napped on her for 2 hours after my nap.













Next, Mommy and I went to see Daddy. He was the master of ceremonies for James' Eagle Scout ceremony. I don't have any pictures of me at the ceremony, but here is one from May of James holding me.


Now for the fun part of the day - my official Christmas #1. Grandma and Pop Pop came over and we had Christmas Dinner #1 and opened up presents. I really like opening presents.













Mommy got some weird new shoes called Kangoo Jumps. They are just the perfect height for me to sit on.













Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop brought me a stroller and a Santa Smurf. Mommy thinks the Smurf is hers.













Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop found some great shoes for me that light up. They will fit soon. She also bought me slippers and cowgirl boots! Ms. Tami and Thomas bought me a Leap Frog toy!

The Month Long Holiday

Because we were traveling to Uncle Andy's, Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop sent my big Christmas gifts early. Daddy put together my new Radio Flyer tricycle and Mommy put together my new slide and basketball hoop. Since my tricylce has a push bar for Mommy and Daddy, it is hard for them to take pictures of me while driving me around the kitchen. Here are several pictures of me with the new slide though.







It is great to be able to play on a slide inside. This is what it looked like outside when I got the slide.








Before I actually saw the new slide, Mommy brought in the box. That was a whole evening of fun!




I have a new favorite drink - chocolate Pediasure! I love chocolate!!
