I had a good week with Nana. She had to leave on Saturday though. Her step grandson is graduating from a high school in Bamf (Canada, eh). I have posted a picture of me playing with Nana just before she left. She will be back in another week to play with me again.

From the video below, you can see that I love playing at my jungle gym with all my toys hanging from it. Well, all the toys I had. We went to Ms. Suzanne's house where I met Emory, Luke, and Melody. Ms. Suzanne gave me most of my clothes and a lot my toys and activity areas! She is so sweet! We were so busy though that I didn't get a picture with her. Next time!

Saturday night, I went a retirement party for a family friend. I had a good time, but Mommy and Daddy have not quite learned to take me away from the action soon enough. It is so exhausing being passed from person to person. I did finally relax though.

Today, I have been taking it easy with Mommy and Daddy. I started by sleeping in to 9:30 this morning. After breakfast, we went for a good walk. In the afternoon, I took a long nap. Mommy had a lot of fun looking at my new clothes while I slept. Then, Mommy took a nap while I played with Daddy.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! It's my Daddy's 1st Father's Day. I got him a couple of gifts: honey roasted cashews, a framed picture of him and me, and nerdy baby flash cards (A is for Atom). We went to church and instead of a dress, I wore my shirt that says I will always be Daddy's little girl and my Daddy's princess socks.

It has been a very busy weekend. Brielyn, my BFF, and her brother Ryan came down to visit me (with Mr. Ian and Dr. Wendy). Brielyn is one month older than I am and Ryan is 3. We did a lot of playing and went for several walks.

Now, I am ready to rest!

Shots!

I had my 2 month appointment at the Pediatrician today. I am now 22.5" long and 11lb 10oz. I'm shooting up the growth curve. I can't say I really enjoyed the appointment though. After being measured, I had to wait in the cold room for 30 minutes for the doctor. Didn't she know I was naked under my blanket? Then, after she examined me, a nurse came in and gave me three shots (one in each leg and one in the mouth!) OUCH!!! I am doing okay though. Ms. Wendy and Mr. Ian (who are coming to visit me later this week along with Brielyn and Ryan) suggested Mommy and Daddy give me some tylenol before the appointment. Keep your fingers crossed that I do not react poorly to the shots!

2 Months Old!!

I am 2 months old!! And, boy should you see my development! I smile a lot. I have been talking all day (oohing this and ahhing that). Plus, I am starting to discover that I have control over my arms and hands. I successfully got my hand in my mouth a couple of times today. And, Daddy said I scootched the length of my crib last night. It is great being 2 months old!

Anyway, I bet you wonder what I have been up to for the past week. I had fun with Daddy. He took me on my first trip to Home Depot. Then, we went to Baltimore for the day last Friday. Daddy put me in a pretty dress so that people wouldn't ask if I was a boy.

On Saturday, I went to 2 park events. First, I went to the church time for families with kids my age. Then, I went to the Middleware Picnic. Middleware is a team at Mommy's work. I had fun at both. The weather was beautiful.

Sunday, Grandma Donna came up to take care of me. She decided she wants to be called Nana since I have so many grandmas. My buddy James (and his parents, Mark and Sarah) came over for dinner. We had a fun time. And, I can sleep right through James' cries.

Today, Nana took care of me all by herself. I think she did really well. Of course, she said that I did really well.

I got up early this morning and played with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy is watching my room at night already. I told him I don't plan on sneaking off to meet boys until later. He says I have to be 30 before I can date.

For the afternoon, I went shopping with Mommy. She is going back to work tomorrow and we needed a girls afternoon out. We had a great time!

Last week was fairly relaxing, but I did have a busy weekend. My Aunt Jenner came in to town on Friday. Also on Friday, Mommy bought me a Bumbo. I like it a lot!

On Saturday, I played with Grandma Lyn and Pop Pop George while Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt Jenner went to see Star Trek. Daddy thinks I will like it when I am older. Then, Ms. Marian and Dr. Roy joined the rest of us for dinner at Grandma's house. I got to play in a new swing that Pop Pop bought.

On Sunday, I went to the county fair! Our neighbors won a raffle with free tickets and ride and food coupons, but they were unable to go. Mommy had fried oreos, Daddy had cheesecake on a stick, and Aunt Jenner had an ice cream cone. A camel stole a cup of water from my stroller! We all had fun! Then, Mr. Bryan and Ms. Erin, more friends of Mommy and Daddy's from UVa came over for dinner. They ate lasagna. I am told it was really good.

Today, I relaxed a bit. I did go meet Daddy for lunch. It was the going away lunch for somebody I don't know, but Daddy wanted to show me off to work friends.

Slowing down...

Well, I'm slowing down in my posting. I know. I was already slow with the pictures. Anyway, I apologize. Mommy and Daddy don't let me post when they are not home, so really, I am just preparing you for when they are both back at work....

On Sunday, Mr. Prakash, Ms. Deepthi, and Hamsini came to visit me. Hamsini is 8 months old. Mr. Prakash works with Mommy.

On Monday, I had two outings. In the morning, I went and saw where Mommy works. I met lots of people she works with. As she did not take a camera, I do not have any pictures. At night, I went to meet the boyscouts in Daddy's troop. I participated in my first boy scout ceremony. (Mommy took this photo using her cell phone.) What is this word "boy" anyway?
